Fascinating history and great to watch--Open only Wed and Sunday.

点评：We had been here years ago and were familiar with the park and the history so we did not visit Hercules or explore as much as we did last time--which you should do. Since they only turn on the water for the 5 features on Sunday and Wednesday we planned our visit to focus on that. First we parked at the Brandt Stoph park platz and bought the bus combo ticket . But then we walked to the Wilhelmshohe castle, thinking we could catch the shuttle in front of the Alte Wache restaurant-- which was a mistake. We did take the bus that stopped there and paid another 2 euros each. We had plenty of time and should have walked back but did not know what the crowd would be like. We arrived at 1:30 pm at the Kaskadenwirtschaft Grischäfer cafe which had a toilet and fresh brats.
We then walked up to the area below Hercules and above the Grand Cascade. The water began to flow at 2:30. We slowly headed along the grand cascade and then to the 2nd feature-- the Steinhofer waterfall which began flowing at 3:05. The crowd had grown a lot and the viewing area was much smaller. I would recommend skipping this feature and heading to station 3, the Devils Bridge, which was more interesting and very crowded--so good to get their early. Then head to the Aquaduct which is really cool before moving on to the Grand Fountain. The Wednesday crowd was huge but I imagine Sundays would be worse.
To see the whole park maybe take the shuttle up to Hercules and walk down exploring, take the bus back up and follow the water features down hill again.
