Nice campsite otherwise poor
基湖森林公园的点评
点评：I would give 5 stars to the campsite and 1 star to the ‘activity / tour’ part of the site.
Very nice campsite - big differences between the pitches. Some in a nice open area and majority are in under trees. So whichever your preference.
Staff in the campsite couldn’t be more helpful.
Nice football pitch, tennis court and games room.
Basic (not spotless) facilities - campers kitchen, bathrooms and showers along with a laundry room. All basic.
The other part of Loughkey which includes the tours and activities is very poor.
The tours are a complete waste of money.
The restaurant is also a complete waste of money! Trust all the other reviews you see here saying the same thing.
Cold coffee and a couple of flies in my salad. The salad was refunded - the staff seemed very young and untrained / couldn’t be bothered.
The campsite itself is about a 6.5k cycle (mostly cycle paths to Boyle or about a 4.5km drive.
SuperValu in Boyle for groceries.
The sauna on site is amazing. Fabulous dip in Lough Key and nice changing areas. Seating area around the sauna. Reasonably priced and nice lads who run it.
