伯克利城堡的点评
点评：We visited the castle nearly a year ago to watch the jousting. The ticket lasted 12 months if you did gift aid which we did. So this was our return visit to use the free visit. We wanted to go to the cafe anyway, but you can visit this without paying to go into the castle. We looked around the gardens again but didn’t go inside the cade itself as we did this last visit.
We had lunch at the castle which was a bit disappointing. I had the goats cheese tart and leaf salad. The try was pretty dry and tasteless and the leaf salad was literally about 10 very small rocket leaves with balsamic vinegar on top. At nearly £12 this was not good value! My partner had a salmon Ciabatta which she enjoyed.
Just as we left they brought out some huge millionaires shortbread which looked fab! But we didn’t try them.
