点评：We really enjoyed our visit to Berkeley Castle today which is very much a full day out with lots to see. We recently joined Historic Houses so enjoyed complimentary entry but decided to book a tour which for a nominal fee. Our guide was Jane who was extremely knowledgeable, with her expert knowledge the castle was brought to life and we learnt much more than just walking round on our own. The gardens are beautiful and the castle is located close to the very interesting village church (where we enjoyed delicious home made cakes and tea at an extremely reasonable price). The castle is also next to Edward Jennings house/museum which was very interesting and enhanced our visit to the village (no need to move the car as it’s a short walk and again entry was free as a Historic Houses member). An excellent day out
