安格尔西修道院的点评
点评：We enjoyed our visit to Anglesey Abbey very much. The grounds are extensive and well maintained, as you would expect for a National Trust property, and pleasant to walk around following a set route on the guide provided on arrival. The formal gardens were not as good as I expected but this probably due to the recent weeks of unrelenting dry hot weather. The exception to this however was the rose garden which was truly lovely, and a delight to walk around. The history of the estate, house and water mill is fascinating, and information on this is readily available. The highlight of our visit was the house itself. It is a beautiful building that has been beautifully preserved as per the instructions of the last owner. Quite a lot of it is open to visitors, including bedrooms, kitchen, scullery etc. all looking as they used to. There are guides everywhere who are very willing to impart information.
