点评：We did a Racecourse Tour with Jockey Club Course Historian Jane Clarke who was a font of knowledge on the history of the racecourse and of course the World's most famous race The Grand National that has been run here since 1839. The tour showcases a fantastic collection of artefacts - a lot collected in person by Jane! and you get to see the weighing rooms, past and present the Parade Rings past and present the fantastic views over the course from high up in The Earl of Sefton stand and the by invitation only Darebury Stand level with the winning posts then down onto the hallowed turf to see the famous finishing strait and of course the most famous horse of them all Red Rum's final resting place laid to rest with his head pointing towards the (his) winning post. Jane had so many stories to share and enjoy triggering our own memories so if you are visiting Liverpool and a tour is available do enjoy for yourself, a super interesting couple of hours I'll always remember.
