Liverpool Town Hall的点评
点评：My husband is from Liverpool and I have lived on the Wirral for 40 years but neither of us had got around to visiting the town hall. So we put that right with a tour and we are so glad we did. From the beautiful entrance hall with the Eisteddfod chairs and lovely wooden panelling and tiles, to the amazing staircase, the gorgeous ballrooms and the civic chamber itself - all were fascinating. The Hall of Remembrance was poignant and very interesting and the architecture throughout, the statues, fires, silverware, all had a tale to tell and the history of the balcony in the war were a previously unknown treat. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable, interesting and held our interest throughout.
For anyone interested in Liverpool history or just fine buildings - the tour is definitely worth the time, effort and cost (which is minimal for what you get). We had an excellent visit and would thoroughly recommend it.
