点评：I am utterly disgusted by our recent experience at Captain Kids, Skegness Pier. This facility demonstrated a shocking lack of care, professionalism, and basic understanding of food safety — particularly when it comes to children with allergies.
Before attending, we clearly informed the staff that one of the children had a severe nut allergy. Despite this, they served food that “may contain nuts.” When this was brought to the attention of management, the response was nothing short of outrageous — “It only may contain nuts.”
That single sentence says everything you need to know about the attitude here. It shows a complete failure to grasp the seriousness of allergies and a reckless disregard for the safety of the children they are supposed to be catering for. “May contain” is not a disclaimer you gamble with when a child’s life is at risk.
For a children’s venue — one that routinely hosts parties and serves food to young kids — this level of negligence is inexcusable. There was no apology, no accountability, and no understanding of how close this could have come to a medical emergency.
I would strongly urge other parents, especially those whose children have allergies or dietary restrictions, to avoid this place entirely. There are far safer and more responsible venues that actually take children’s welfare seriously.
Captain Kids has lost all trust and credibility in my eyes. I will be contacting the relevant authorities to ensure this incident is reported and investigated properly.
