Not worth the entrance fee, or the five minutes it take to view everything!

点评：This was a complete rip off! I was expecting to see a large number of lobsters in different stages of development, instead I saw a total of 5 full size lobsters, all of which were kept in tiny little tanks that reminded me more of a tank in a restaurant than a sanctuary. There were a few tanks for baby lobsters(completely empty!), and there was one display showing several tadpole size lobsters. Everything else in the hatchery was just like a free display in a public library, plus a film; the viewing area was so tiny that very few people could get close enough to watch it, ironically a few people were watching youtube videos of lobsters on their phones whilst waiting! I don't think the hatchery is concerned with lobster welfare, one of the facts on display was "lobsters are only red when cooked", and it seems hypocritical, them trying to release thousands of lobsters back into the wild, when 200 yards outside the entrance there are 15 boats loaded with lobster traps ready to go and catch them, 200 yards in the other direction is Rick Stein's cookery school where you can learn how to cook them! My advice, donate the £9 to an animal welfare charity.
