点评:We visited the Roman Forum and Colosseum as part of a LivTours tour which allowed us to enter without a wait.
It was a hot day and no shade, so bring water and a hat.
Although you can see the Forum from outside and nearby hills, walking around gives you more of a feeling, with a lot of imagination, what it might be like when it was a bustling epicenter of Rome with the many buildings and temples.
The highlight for us was seeing the Temple of Caesar and a quick peak into the cremation site where people still leave fresh flowers and tributes to him. If we hadn't had a tour guide tell us where it was and the significance, we would have missed it.
Also, seeing on our own Largo di Torre Argentina, the area where Julius Caesar was assassinated was also special to be in such historical areas - see that site as well since there is a cat sanctuary there.
