Stunning, exuberant planting, this is a must see English garden

点评：It was an absolute privilege to visit Great Dexter today, the exuberant and generous planting was stunning, and the meadows were an absolute joy to behold. This is a ‘must see’ for anyone interested in gardening. I’m quite puzzled to see such mixed reviews here.
The gardens don’t open until 11 but the Loggia cafe is open from 10 so we had a coffee and cake before entering promptly. I recommend arriving early if you can, as it does get busy and the paths are narrow. It’s worth going into the house if you have time.
We travelled on the 313 bus from Rye, it’s a really easy journey, the gardens are just a half a mile walk from the bus stop in Northiam. Just check the times as it’s not a very frequent journey.
