The most wonderful, creative gardens, perfect for international visitors, make sure to eat
Great Dixter House & Gardens的点评
点评：For us, the best gardens we have been to. They aren't standard formal gardens, but a unique and wonderful creative experiment. We loved exploring Christopher Lloyd's vision and its interpretation by Fergus Garrett.
Two further points beyond the gardens themselves:
1. We would highly recommend Great Dixter for international visitors. Both because of how much it packs in, but also because the ticket price is so reasonable, whereas National Trust gardens incentivise you to buy an annual pass less useful for those on holiday.
2. The cafe food was exceptional. The sandwiches were decent, but really order a hot plate. Either the Mushrooms on toast, Vegetable tart, or Mackerel and pear salad. The ingredients were top tier, prices more than fair, and cooking perfect. We ate well and will be back.
