点评:Arrived with our motorhome and pre booked parking was in the overflow parking area. We didn’t mind this as it was a lovely view but it is a longer walk to get to the entrance.
Really enjoyed exploring the winding paths around the gardens, moat and old ruined castle. Very picturesque and any photographer would enjoy the landscape.
Plenty of shady spots on a hot day.
There is a complete absence of bins until you get to the shop and cafe area.
The newer house is interesting and more recent in its decor but a snapshot into the lives of the family that lived there.
Cafe looked nice but was busy so we didn’t stay, ice creams are available at a rather expensive £3.60 per scoop in a
cone - Jude’s ice cream is £5 a tub in Waitrose so quite a profit being made.
Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.
