Magical Moated Castle and Gardens teansports you back in time
利兹城堡的点评
点评：Stayed here 2 nites as part of a Blue Roads Tour of Kent. Stayed in the Courtyard Suites with a commanding view of Culpepper Gardens. As an avid gardener and garden admirer I was in heaven. The suite is spacious and impeccably decorated. There was a huge bathroom with shower and deep bath tub. In total there were 3 sets of windows overlooking the garden and one set the car park. The cross breeze was lovely.
The grounds are immaculately maintained and the staff was friendly and cheerful and went out of their way to be helpful. This included a security staff who gave me a lift. The people who work here seem genuinely happy to have such a lovely place to work. The guided tour of the Castle was excellent. Front desk staff excellent.
We had breakfasts and a dinner at the Castle View Restaurant. Great food and service.
I did not have time to do many of the activities which I would guess would be great. From golf to the raptor show. What I did do was explore the grounds and gardens. One morning I woke early at 4 and watched the moonset above Culpepper Garden and out by 5 AM to stroll the grounds for sunrise. Only soul I saw was a security guard. The airtag on your key fob provides excellent security. The park is exclusive to staying guests before it opens to the publuc so no crowds. You can imagine perfect peace and solitude with many swans and other birds and waterfowl.
A truly magical place. I am sure the family area is busier but I never made it there. Something for everyone here. For me it was a step back in time. Learning that the Camp David Accords were hosted here was an interesting highlight.
I could see staying here a week for some rest and relaxation while being well pampered.
