Great visit with a fantastic guide Peter

点评：What a fascinating place! We arrived at lunch time so popped into the cafe and had fabulous home made minestrone soup with big chunks of bread and butter. Delicious! The coffee was good too.
Being December the place was quiet so we were lucky to get a private tour with Peter and he was brilliant. He was so informative, interesting and enthusiastic about the caves the hour we were down there went so quickly. He even walked the whole tour backwards! What a star you are Peter.
The caves are fascinating with a history reaching back hundreds of years through to the 20th century. We explored the caves both carrying our own paraffin lamp as there is no electric light down there. The floor is a little uneven in places but perfectly dry which surprised us.
We really enjoyed our visit to the caves (and our lunch) and would highly recommend visiting.
