A MAGICAL EXPERIENCE.. YOU HAVE TO GO HERE

点评：We visited today 14.08.25, and we were determined not to miss visiting this gem as only opens July and August.
We were so impressed by the lady at the entrance, who explained everything to us, and what a lovely person she is, very welcoming and friendly, She even came out of the kiosk at the end to chat to us re our experience of our walk.
And what an experience we had. First of all it is worth every penny of the small entry charge. Note they dont take cash , just card. The walk around the forest is NOT for anyone in a wheelchair, or with ANY walking difficulty. Plenty of steps, up and down, and difficult terrain to navigate at times. Wear comfortable shoes with good grips, and then just enjoy the experience. Its magical, You just have to go to experience it. The forest, with overhanging moss covered branches, wooden swing overlooking a wildflower meadow, little wooden seats and quirky interesting pieces around each corner,the sound of little brooks and streams, birdsong everywhere, and the piece de resistance, the fabulous waterfall and Orne cottage down in the glen. An absolute sight to behold. Reminds me of a Hansel and Gretal. setting. You would stand in awe to look at it. The whole forest and glen has plenty of seating areas and there is a lovely picnic area with about 7 picnic tables in the earlier part of the walk.We visited while the weather was beautiful but I probably wouldnt recommend kilfane if it was raining or had been raining, as the whole area and steps would be very slippy and dangerous. Also the signage is really bad throughout the forest, ie how to find the exit after being down in the valley, and the map didnt suffice, You need proper signage, as opposed to the tiny tiles and some broken along the way. There is no coffee shop here so bring a picnic.This truly was a magical day here today. Will definately be back next year.
