点评:we have been to the thomas days previously and decided to go to the illuminations this year for the first time. We enjoyed every moment of it, our son who has complex needs had so much fun, let's face it what's not to enjoy - lights, (cheesy) music (and even more cheesier jokes) and trains. As well as a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows (coffee and tea) to warm us up.
You can see how much work was gone into decorating the train.
We arrived earlier than the advised 30 minuets to ensure we got parked ok (had heard parking is limited) and didn't have a problem finding a space. The train was not full but it suited us and we purposefully booked what looked like a quieter train due to sons needs (fully aware it could have got busier). There was a bit of a delay where the engine had an issue but this was sorted and information was passed onto passengers well, (could not be helped after all the trains are old) and in our eyes ment the illumination experience was a bit longer 😊
you to all the volunteers, all very friendly and helpful. We will absolutely be coming back next year, our son has been asking us constantly "if we can go everyday".
