Deck the Halls

点评：We have visited Berrington Hall before but, on the way back from a long journey and being National Trust members, we decided to call in to take advantage of the excellent cafe to have some lunch.
We were subsequently delighted to find that the Hall had been decorated for Christmas and so decided to walk around again to see it in all it's finery and we were not disappointed.
The decorated Hall offered so much on many different levels, just the opulence of it would be enough for some, yet there was also a great deal of information available, cleverly presented, as to how Christmas would be celebrated, both upstairs and downstairs in a house of this size and status.
A real treat and, even though we won't have membership next year, it would be something we would consider doing as a pre-cursor to Christmas.
