点评:Having found ourselves in Rjukan and realising it was where the actual “Heroes of Telemark” operation from WWII occurred, we had to come and take a look and we weren’t disappointed. The original building is a real gem of a place and there is plenty of information about the history of the building, the workers and it’s operation prior to WWII. There is then another whole set of displays about the “heavy water” created at the plant and the efforts for it to be destroyed. The icing on the cake is the excavated cellar where the bombing by a team of saboteurs occurred. It’s quite an eerie experience to walk in the same space where the events occurred and again, the history of the various attempts to destroy the plant and the people involved is well documented and displayed. There are aural, visual and cinematic displays as well as interactive screens throughout the museum. All in all, a very absorbing visit, well worth the entrance fee. Highly recommended.
