You can take the Prime Minister out of Bathurst, but not take Bathust out of the Prime Minister

点评：The home of former Prime Minister Ben Chifley & his wife, Elizabeth has been maintained as it was when they were in residence. The education centre has some wonderful exhibits and information about the Chifley's, their families and life in the Bathurst region.
The home is only accessible with one of the guides via the education centre. Out guide, Lynette, has an extremely deep knowledge of the home and region. She also recommended Miss Traill's House following our visit here.
Life in the first half of the 20th century is clearly seen through visiting Chifley
Home. There are so many items either preserved or restored to give you the authentic feel of life in that time.
Learning about Mr &Mrs Chifley and their contributions to the local region, as well as Mr Chifley's contribution as our first post-WWII Prime Minister is a must for anyone who wants to know more about Australian history.
Very low entry fee (which is used to help maintain the houses) and a great place to take school aged children.
