A wonderful day out made even better by the welcoming staff

点评：It’s a beautiful house and gardens. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. There was a guide in each room to provide extra information in addition to the interesting boards.
I felt privileged to see the small island in a small lake where Princess Diana is buried. There is also a lovely and moving memorial to her that you can visit.
The cafe had fresh food that was reasonably priced, including cream teas. The shop was also reasonably priced and included signed copies of Earl Spencer’s books.
The icing on the cake was that Earl Spencer did a book signing at lunchtime and not only personalised a message in my book but also took the time to chat to each person in the queue - what a gentleman.
Free parking and plenty of toilets near the entrance. A lovely day out and free to members of Historic Houses!
