Keeper for the day experience aka 'The best day of my life' (Minnie aged 8)

点评：We go to Flamingo Land a couple of times a year, mainly for the zoo as my daughter loves it.
This year for her birthday she wanted to do a keeper for the day experience and we were thrilled she was not old enough to do this at Flamingo Land as we have such great memories there.
It's not really well promoted on the website and you have to call and book. The person that took the booking was great and I paid over the phone. It was £225 for my daughter and I went free as her accompanying adult. This includes entry and although it says take a packed lunch on the day we got two vouchers for the Costa there. Entry for us both Would have been around £80 so overall I thought it was great value given the experience we had.
We were greeted by our first keeper and eased into the day cleaning out the ponies and donkeys. After each animal we went back to the keeper ls yard where we were collected by another keeper for the next experience. Everyone was so kind, knowledgeable and friendly.
We had so many amazing experiences including wedding penguins, hippos, giraffe, meerkat, tortoises and otter. Stroking and interacting with lemur, giving rhino's as scratch with a sweeping brush and more! It was amazing.
My daughter said it was the best day of her life. The day lasted from around 10am to 3.30 with two 40 min ish breaks.
Afterwards we enjoyed a few rides, ate dinner and watched the brilliant fireworks display for Haloween. It was magical.
I hope the keepers who made the day special see this and know they were part of a memory we will cherish forever.
