点评：I have visited the Friars regularly for many years now, usually with my mum, and we always enjoyed the beautiful surroundings whatever the time of year. Being that mum is unwell now and I'm temporarily out of the area, I decided to stay over for a night and was so pleased I did. The room was very basic as I expected but was very clean and tidy. I paid a little extra for an en-suite to avoid having to share any facilities. Please remember the accommodation is extremely old so don't expect something like a Premier Inn. The Lady on reception (Rachel?) is lovely and was very pleasant and helpful. She provided me with a document with all the relevant information on it which included a map of the accommodation. This showed me where my room was and also the location of the social areas and the visitors library, which is well worth a look at as it overlooks the Pilgrims hall dining area. I had a lovely peaceful night and woke up fully refreshed. Breakfast was included and was served in the beautiful Pilgrims Hall. The breakfast was fabulous and the catering staff very pleasant. I will definitely be booking this accommodation regularly from now on.
