Our 40th Ruby Wedding Anniversary Year Visit

点评：Been visiting Great Comp Garden for over 43 years and at least twice yearly. We started visting Great Comp when we were a courting couple in the 1980s, often travelled there by motorbike.
Have had a couples then a family yearly pass but now use the Gardeners World 2 for 1 card.
This garden has many rooms and is always a pleasure to walk around.
As with any garden it has changed and evolved over the years.
Trees have fallen in storms. Planting has become more varied. The woodland area has been cleared and managed well in recent years. More pathways have been laid around the garden allowing one to explore. Unsurprisingly the bamboo collection area has become a little overgrown. More a forest of foliage.
Many memorial benches are now dotted around the garden allowing one to sit and enjoy the surroundings.
Had a pleasant light lunch in the tearoom. Good to see plenty of colour and texture still throughout the garden.

We hope to be around and able to visit when the ground floor of the wonderful old house is opened for the public to view.
