点评:Tickets here need to be pre-booked and at 9660HUF it is a little costly. A 10% reduction is given for the Budapest Card.
All admissions must be part of a tour which are generally every hour on the hour. Arriving at 14.05 was disappointing but there are other fantastic attractions just minutes away with a lift for those not wanting to ascend the stairs. Upon receiving the paper ticket from the on-site ticket machine, it does state you need to be ready at ten minutes before the start time. Having now booked a 15.00 tour and re-arriving at 14.50 was perfect timing. You are then shown an introductory video with English subtitles. The disappointing aspect of this were the interruptions by others who has obviously booked the 15.00 tour but missed reading about the ten minutes as they had to be accommodated late during the screening.
The tour starts and everyone is warned that no photography is allowed at any stage of the visit.
The duration was an hour and it was interesting to learn the core details of the use of the facility back in the 20th Century.
There are a few items available for purchase at the end too.
Photography should be allowed if only to be able to photograph some of the many dated and informative exhibits on the wall many with only Hungarian text. It would have been nice to snap them and then use an online translation to see what they were all about.
The guide herself was knowledgeable with excellent English.
