点评：Diamond P Ranch is the real deal when it comes to horseback riding. The ride takes you south across open pastures and up through forests of fir and pine, with occasional wide, picture-perfect meadows opening along the way. The horses are healthy, well-cared-for, and clearly loved by the people who work with them.
The ranch has been in the Portmann family for over forty years, so supporting them—and tipping generously—helps keep this treasure alive instead of turning into just another trophy-home development.
Every wrangler I met was friendly and helpful, especially to an elder rider like me (73 and well past my best riding days). Special thanks to Sydney and Kate, who made my rides safe, enjoyable, and even put up with me when I asked for photos to show my daughters.
