Very interesting museum with a self guided tour plus rock collecting

点评：If you have children who love the outdoors, love to collect colorful rocks and dig around and walk around a simulated mine shaft, then this museum is perfect for you.
What I love about this museum is the fossil room, which has an extensive collection of natural fossils of fish and wildlife. It has some interesting specimens. They also have a nice collection of Pre-Columbia art including several Mayan and Incan pieces. You do not see much of this in museums.
My favorite two parts of the museum are the illuminated room of rocks. The whole room just glows. The other is the simulated mind shaft to see how these men lived underground. That was a rough life.
It is a great family museum and after you are done touring the museum, go out and collect rocks in the quarry. That is nice on a warm day.
