Bradford Industrial Museum的点评
点评：Today I visited Bradford Industrial Museum with three children - all boys, ages 3, 3 and 6. I wanted to see The Red Ball, an art installation there for just one day as part of the City of Culture. And I was fairly sure the children would find it interesting too. And they did! It was brilliant. The staff with the ball were great. They encouraged the children to fully experience it by running into it, trying to push it, bouncing off it etc. They absolutely loved it!
But also, the whole museum experience was wonderful! There are so many hands-on things for the children to do, their interest is maintained throughout. The resources provided for the children - arts and crafts, dressing up, home corner, trains, printing, etc were all brilliant.
The café was great, and it was so lovely to be able to buy a drink and snack/treat for all of us and for it not to cost a fortune! Really appreciated this.
But mostly, I wanted to say how amazing the staff were. The man at the desk when we arrived was very welcoming, and the lady there also took the time to explain what there was to see. But all the other staff around the museum (volunteers?) were so friendly and made the day special for the children. Especially the man in the printing area.
We had such a good time, and the fact that all of this is free is incredible. Although I did make a donation to cover what I felt was a fair entrance fee for us all 🙂
