点评:We went along hoping to walk amongst the lavender. Its mostly finished flowering - that possibility hadn't occurred to me. Still smelled like lavender but it was past its best - dead flowers - not much to look at apart from lavender with dead flowers.
Website says it is currently being harvested - perhaps that means its finished to people who know about these things? It didn't tell me it was finished. Would have been nice to know what we were getting.
The sunflowers are in bloom. Don't expect towering giants though - much of it is around the 5 foot mark - still big but not towering.
We were told on the way in that we could pick 3 sunflowers each. Finding some that were not already dieing and worth picking was the mission. Then picking it with no scissors was the next mission.
£4.50 each for a lavender ice cream - very nice and tasty.
Also a van that sells hotdogs, and a separate van that sells fancy chips with toppings.
On the other side from the flower fields there is a lovely gift shop and cafe. We were going to eat but the menu is very limited (to things we didn't fancy - quiche, ploughmans...) so we didn't bother.
I left wondering how I had spent so much.
