Anderton Boat Lift的点评
点评：We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this industrial marvel. The fact that this boat lift has been restored to such an amazing standard is of enormous credit to the talent of the volunteers involved in the project.
The visitors centre is very informative and relates the history of the surrounding area and industries as well as the boat lift itself. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and answer any questions you may have.
Unfortunately the Boat Lift was not operational on the day of our visit, it was closed to to undergoing essential repairs, but this didn’t detract from a most enjoyable visit.
You can also incorporate a 75 minute river boat trip on the River Weaver which is an added bonus and highly recommended. There is full commentary on board which explains the history of the area and is really enjoyable.
Access to the Boat Lift and Visitors Centre is free of charge and the boat trip cost £10, amazing value. There is also a cafe on site if you are feeling peckish.
