Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center (lcic)的点评
点评：We visited here as part of our road trip across North Dakota in the summer of 2023. Being a history buff and being from PA, I was happy to see such a great Lewis & Clark related attraction on our trip. The combination of the modern museum at the Interpretive Center and the separate tour of nearby Fort Mandan made for an excellent visitor experience for us.
The exhibits in the museum were well done and engaging; great information about Lewis & Clark’s time in this area was presented here, as well as beautiful artwork by artist Michael Haynes. After touring the galleries, a short drive took us to the replica of Fort Mandan, where we enjoyed an excellent one-hour tour by Shannon; she was very knowledgeable and engaging and gave us a thorough overview of life at the fort for the soldiers and staff as she showed us the various furnished soldiers’ quarters. There were also some good exhibits at the Visitor Center at the fort as well. (Be sure to apply insect repellant if visiting in the summertime; we were attacked by swarms of mosquitos the entire time we were at the fort.)
Between the two parts of this attraction, we spent 2.5 hours and enjoyed every minute of it. There is plentiful free parking at both sites, and admission is very reasonable. If you are a history buff seeking a stellar visitor experience, this site is highly recommended.
