Rare Breeds Centre的点评
点评：This is a really lovely farm to visit with small children. There are plenty of animals to see, and a few you can touch. There are several playgrounds, although these are mostly aimed at quite small children, mine found the big playground at the back near the woodland walks to be the best for their age groups (5 and 8).
Our favourite bit was the woodland walks around the back - we spent a good hour or two going along each track.
The restaurant food was ok, the kids weren’t fans of the super thick cut chips, but did like the burger and nuggets. The apple and pear soft drink was a favourite too. Espresso was good.
The soft play was a good finish to the day.
I think this would be a lovely place to have an annual membership to if you lived locally and have young children.
I wish they’d made more of a big deal out of the rare breeds side of the rare breeds centre. As a knitter and spinner I love learning about rare breeds of sheep in particular and would have happily bought some yarn from their own animals.
