点评:We arrived on a day with little traffic, likely due to the fact that it was raining. The walk up to the glacier was around 2.5 KM. The hike was a bit challenging, including some boulders, sand, stairs, but mostly large rock formations that were usually easy but had some tougher spots requiring rope to grab onto. Due to all the rain, a couple of us actually slipped a few times. Make sure you have good hiking shoes / boots - and poles would help!
But it is all worth it once you get to the glacier. Very interesting-and with global warming, hard to say how much longer this will be available - it has already retreated significantly and continues to do so.
There are bathrooms at the site but not much else. We went without a guide, but other options are available - you will need to book with guide if you want to go onto the glacier.
