One Of The Best Museums in Wales

点评：This is, in my opinion, simply amongst the best museums I have ever visited, and I have been in quite a few!
The Ceredigion Museum is housed in a beautiful old theatre and is absolutely crammed full of amazing things to see. The theming and lay-out of displays is simply first class, and the variety of exhibits on show is superb. I have visited multiple times over the years, and still manage to find new things on every visit. Here you can see everything from maritime history to rural life, and the fascinating archaeology gallery even houses a human skeleton found in Aberystwyth castle.
This is a perfect example of how a museum should be. I could happily spend all day there, the atmosphere of the building is wonderful and you are guaranteed a friendly welcome. Aberystwyth is very lucky to have this excellent attraction only a stones throw from the beach.
The museum now charges £2 entry (tickets are bought from the shop on the ground floor), whereas before it was free entry with a donations option. £2 for a museum of this standard is probably the best value you will find anywhere, I really can't see anybody visiting here and not coming away impressed. Give it a go on your next visit to Aberystwyth!
