Quite run down unfortunately but it is free - Not quite the beautiful nature and animal filled experience we expected

点评：Looks like it was once upon a time a really lovely attraction full of wildlife and well maintained nature trail/little garden centre but it looks like it hasn’t been properly looked after for years unfortunately. We overheard a conversation that new owners took it on a few years ago I just hope they have plans to give it all some serious tlc - Nature trail looked tired with areas that looked like they once housed animals overgrown with weeds and a pond covered in algae. We had expected to see animals from photos I’d seen but chatted to the chap in the aquatic centre and he said they haven’t had the otters etc since 2023. We were treated by some baby ducks though and a robin. There was a sign also saying the aquatic building had also closed in 2023 with no plans to reopen. If you’re in the area it’s somewhere to have a little walk and see some ducks especially if you’re stopping for the pancake house and it’s free to enter the nature walk (which may actually be where the issues lie if it’s not making money to maintain it? The free entry is also why it’s getting 3 stars and not less I’m afraid) but if you’re expecting more see this as a heads up - we made a special trip over and were disappointed. The garden centre/aquatic centre looked in dire need of more stock and more care. Pancakes were nice but a little overpriced. All in all could be an amazing place with some love and I’ve no doubt money invested which is a shame if that’s what it’s all down to - just not what we expected at all!
