Armadale is great; Skye - not so much.

点评：We stayed in the Flora McDonald apartment, which is self-catering, and it was neat and very clean. A truly lovely place. The apartment is located in the same building as the cafe, with the entrance on the opposite side. There is a single dedicated parking spot for the apartment. Everyone at Armadale was very accommodating and kind, both as we were making our arrangements and when we arrived. I do recommend booking directly.
Regarding Sky, however...I would strongly suggest planning for your needs and meals before you reach the island! Do not rely that services will be available on the island. The grocery store was small and positively packed, we could not get dinner reservations anywhere (were turned away by 4 different restaurants), and we were even charged to use a restroom at a service station when we arrived on the island. I have idyllic memories of visiting Skye 20 years ago, and was very surprised to be greeted by the island residents with such a "why are you here" attitude. The island seems to be overrun with tourists, but lacks the infrastructure to provide a relaxing and enjoyable visit.
