Excellent white water rafting outing
River Rat Whitewater Rafting的点评
点评：We had a brilliant outing with our River Rat guide, Matty P. We were a group of 6 (grandparents, parents and two children of 8 and 9) with minimal previous white water rafting experience.
The facilities at the base are great with a shop for any missing kit, space for changing, showers and a very friendly, helpful receptionist. We were given a safety briefing at the base before taking a short (but entertaining) bus ride to where we were setting off on our raft ride.
Matty P then guided us expertly down the river, providing enough thrills for our adventure junky 9 year old, while reassuring everyone else that everything was under control! All children are encouraged to jump in the river and swim and so it would be a good idea to talk to any children who might not want to get in in advance to encourage them to give it a go, or to let your guide know if they really won't want to get in.
The outing was a great bonding experience as we all needed to take part in getting the raft down the river but could also relax and go in for swims where it was safe. The views were also beautiful. We'd highly recommend River Rat and Matty P in particular.
