点评：We had a lovely visit here. The gardens are very pretty with some fruit orchards too. There isn't really anything of the house to see and one of the rooms is a second hand book shop. This national trust really is for dry weather as its all outdoors, some lovely walks though. There is a small indoor tea room to have a food and drinks. I was very disappointed with the coffee van today that was serving cakes, lunches and drinks. We ordered some drinks and cakes and also a lunch tray for our child, said lunch tray took 30 minutes to arrive which is a very long time for a ham sandwich to be made (see photo) and costly for what there was at £6.50. I expect high prices for a NT cafè but not for what appears to be a privately owned cafè van. They need better staffing and running of this when it comes to meals. I think the company was Lakeland Coffee.
The staff were all very polite at the national trust. They had some games out for the kids and they could borrow binoculars for the walk. They also had fairy houses dotted about for the children to find.
