Old Sarum的点评
点评：This is just down the road from Stonehenge and is a nice addition to fill the day.
We arrived after lunch and there was plenty of parking. It is a great site and as English Heritage members you get free parking and entry. They are also doing the pop badges for younger members, so more to collect.
They also did the fairytale trail (unfortunately, it was one we had done at a different site - but still fun nonetheless!)
Hot drinks from a vending machine available and plenty of benches and grass to sit on.
Once explored the ruins we walked around to the old Abbey (again, a few walls only remain). An interesting site that offers peace after the busyness of Stonehenge.
The staff were all very welcoming and chatty - interacting and talking about the recent/current geophys work. Worth an afternoon’s visit!
