Great dressing up box to draw in young children
Ely Museum的点评
点评：Our four-year-old granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed the Ely Museum, and we enjoyed following her around. At the entrance she dressed up as an explorer, and with hat, tote bag for a compass, magnifying glass, binoculars, various other bits and pieces, and a tick sheet of objects to find, set off around the exhibits. (She spent some time studying a skeleton through her magnifying glass).
There were many points of interest, interactive exhibits, and information screens to bring the local history to life. We also enjoyed the many exhibits which were more for older visitors particularly the tools and cultural objects, used in former times in the development of the fenlands. The gaol, with its restraining chains and prisoners graffiti was particularly interesting.
There are toilets on site, a gift shop, and an area in the courtyard where visitors can sit on a sunny day. The bonus of further free entry for a whole year is a nice touch. We hope to take advantage of that.
