Incorrect selling of tickets, gift aid.
Dorset Museum & Art Gallery的点评
点评:Due to a quick visit and being on a very tight budget I did not wish to pay what should be the voluntary element (donation) on the ticket, which is required (by law) to be able to make said ticket gift aid able. At least 10% on standard ticket. On 3 occasions with 3 different staff I was informed there wasn't a ticket available without donation, with one saying it was assumed the visitors would want to pay the full £15 with donation price.
Once again, I asked to pay without donation and was still refused, despite another member of staff getting involved. I paid the full amount due to my special needs companion getting agitated and time restraints. However it really marred the enjoyment of the experience. Which is well laid out, but compact, 2 hours tops I'd imagine should suffice.
I mentioned again on the way out to a different lady cashing up the till. To no avail, was told to contact the office as they weren't accountants?
I was made to feel I was making a fuss over a few pounds when I was really trying to inform the people actually selling the tickets the protocol regarding gift aid and donations on tickets. It's either bad training, ignorance or deception, which I'm sure isn't the image this charity would wish to portray.
