Great WWII history with some access & odor issues. Well maintained outdoors

点评：We had a good day out at Hughenden today and found the estate very well-maintained. The car park, gardens, and walking paths were all in great condition, and the landscapes are beautiful for a Sunday stroll. The house itself is interesting and feels like a museum with lots of original items left behind—the World War II map exhibit in the basement was a highlight for us.
However, there were two things that dampened the experience. First, there was a very noticeable damp and musty smell throughout the house; it’s an old building, but the scent was quite strong and made it hard to stay inside for long. Second, it really isn’t advisable for families with kids in buggies. You can't take pushchairs inside the manor, and many of the estate paths are quite steep or narrow, which is a struggle with young children. It’s a lovely bit of history, but the smell and the access issues made it a bit of a challenge for a family visit.
