Get there early to find parking! Worth the hike to get to the top!

点评：We visited this mid September - Be prepared to take breaks and get there early! We showed up at 8 thinking there would be plenty of parking and we barely found a spot. By the time we left there were people parked along the street and had tickets. Only park where there are signs and pay the parking fee. This was one of the few places we stopped that had bathrooms on site. Take advantage because we didn't find restrooms anywhere else we visited that day. As far as the hike goes, it is rough getting up there. We are in our 40s and man our knees were killing us by the end. Basically think of being on a stair stepper for an hour. We are not in the best shape so if you are fit this will probably be easier. You are on an incline the entire way up to the viewpoint at the top. It was very rewarding to get there. Make sure to bring something warmer with you for up top as it was very windy. I was in a t-shirt at the bottom and sweating but by the time we got to the top I had all my layers back on. We can see why it is so popular. The view really was breathtaking! Also we planned our visit around the weather, by the time we got done it started to rain and people looked pretty miserable going up. If you can go when it isn't raining then do it no matter the time. The rock steps are uneven and would be slippery when wet. Wear the right shoes with lots of grip as there are no handrails.
