点评:This is an excellent museum with some great and interesting exhibits. However my biggest concern is the dates given for when specific things were in use.
For example the "slums of the 1840s" were still in use as described in the 1940s and up to 1970/80s, certainly in Birmingham, maybe you were all richer in Stoke? The pull chain cisterns were still in use in the 1980s and my grandparents did not have an indoor toilet and used a tin bath up until the early 1980s. I appreciate these things were invented years before and probably in use in richer households. If someone creates a museum about technology in 2025 I hope it won't have us all owning domestic robots or using individual drones to fly to work, these have been invented, it doesn't mean we all own one. I do wonder what we are teaching youngsters about their grandparents generation. Social history is important so please be accurate.
