The Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center的点评
点评：So I scheduled a tour of this facility primarily for my girls, but for the rest of the family as well while vacationing at Oak Island. The facility is about an Hour & 20 minute drive from Oak Island. Tickets are VERY cheap, only costing about $45 for nine people. Parking is free and abundant. They provide a 45-minute tour every 10 minutes and the Tour Guides are volunteers.
Our tour guide, Cindy, was incredibly enthusiastic and knowledgable. You could tell she truly enjoyed volunteering. Her infectious attitude and personality made the experience that much better. The tour explains the purpose of the rescue (self-explanatory) and teaches about the different types of sea turtles and what breeds are local to the area.
Overall, this place was awesome! My whole family really enjoyed it and was very happy we went. I highly recommend it for all ages.
