That's how I would describe the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum.
I've been to an endless number of museums. This is honestly one of the better ones. And not just among the ranks of presidential libraries and museums. The curation is excellent. The flow from exhibit to exhibit is also excellent.
If you are a huge political junkie or amateur political historian, it will probably take 3 hours to work through the museum. And even then you probably aren't reading everything.
If you're just visiting and don't have tremendous interest in the subject, I'd say you could visit and see a lot in an hour. But you would be missing a lot of details.
All things considered, the Bush library and museum is without a doubt the best attraction in College Station. Other than football, there's not much to see and do here. The Bush museum rivals football.
If I had a complaint, the gift shop is a little overpriced and limited. The postcards can't even be sent because the coating on the paper prevents an ink pen from writing an address or note on the paper. Seriously.
