点评:I think I've hit every Presidential library since FDR (save Ike and Obama (Obama's is too new and Abilene - that's tough location to hit!) For whatever reason I was just not overwhelmed by GHWB. On some level he strikes me as a personally decent man , but one who accepted some morally questionable compromises in pursuit of political success. Anyway, the library is a nice glimpse of what it was like growing up in an upper crust family in the 30s and 40s. You can admire his spirting striking out for West Texas (admirable) but don't forget the family backing. Real heroism in WWII. More reading than arresting visual displays (though there is Marine One and a train set that requires an immense amount of space and and yet still left me wondering about the exact connection beyond it's having conveyed the body). It's certainly worthwhile but, as an add on say to a Houston visit, you can save this for your second or third time when you've seen things available there.
