点评:I last visited Ringwood Manor as a teenager , about 50 years ago , and looked forward to a return with my lady . The mansion is , fortunately , still fairly well maintained , while other aspects of the park had some glaring issues : 1 ) Very small lavatories for such a big facility , with no soap and no employees competent enough to fill the dispensers 2 ) No signage describing the grounds or artifacts as you walked around 3 ) We needed cash for a tour , as the credit card machine wasn't working well 4 ) Our very gentle , patient and considerate young guide knew the estate's history , but virtually nothing about the time periods in which the estate was so prominent , from the American Revolution through the Civil War , knowing absolutely nothing about Peter Cooper's role as an abolitionist and Lincoln supporter ( he politely listened to my input ) ................ Mind you , this is perhaps New Jersey's finest , most well p[reserved 18th-19th century historic site ! ........ Again , the staff was very friendly and accommodating , but some improvements are definitely in order !
