卢米埃博物馆的点评
点评：Read other recent reviews praising this museum. We spent a delightful couple of hours there yesterday. Totally disagreed with a recent bad review criticising lighting and lots more!
The museum really is two in one .... Firstly it allows you a great opportunity to see a few stunning art nouveau interior rooms in a historically important house. Secondly, more importantly, you learn the important facts about the Lumiere brothers and their parents.
The audio guide in your own language is useful. And most descriptions are given in English alongside French.
Well laid out exhibits. And the lighting is set so you can enjoy details in the interior as well as viewing the cinema exhibition. Spot on.
In the first room there is a projected history about the family, inventions, factory creation and impact. The images rattled through quite fast. And as I am a slow reader I needed to watch this twice to feel sure I had absorbed enough.
As the visit proceeded much of the quick intro was explored in greater depth. So I felt fully informed by the end.
We left - with huge admiration for what the brothers and father (and their families) achieved. And pride in the fact that whilst they became hugely wealthy, they all had worked hard, used their inventive talents and benevolently supported others. I'd like to find a biography about them to learn more about their family dynamic.
Lovely museum. Well worth your time. And do remember to go and peek at the "hangar" building at the end.
