Only go if you want to be sad and feel like a horrible person

点评：I’ve never been more sad leaving a zoo than after we left this one. The animals are not only poorly kept but their environments are all exactly the same as if all animals live in the same areas in their natural habitats. They are poorly groomed, sad, skinny, depressed, and overall mistreated. I’m torn between happy I spent €60 to hopefully put the money towards the animals and wishing I didn’t in hopes the zoo would need to close and release these animals where they deserve to be.
The zoo itself is also not kept well. The tress and bushes are so overgrown half of the time you can’t even see the exhibits especially if you’re a small or short child. The zoo is made up of about 70% birds and the rest are either empty or one sad animal alone. Only a few exhibits had multiple animals. But either way they were all walking in dirty exhibits with no grass or anything other than clay and poop. Even the animals that swim or require water such as the swans are swimming in completely green algae water. The poor animals have small metal bowls of water to share and even that water is not clean at all.
It’s was such a sad experience I’m just grateful my so. Is too young to notice or remember this zoo.
To the people leaving good reviews you clearly either have never seen an actual zoo that is maintained well and the animals are protected and even if not ideal to have them in zoos in the first place at least the zoos change their exhibits to match their natural environments and take care of them much better than this place. Or you’re simply inhuman and don’t care how animals are treated for your own enjoyment.
